The Name

What does iLeviathan mean?

Leviathan is a sea monster referred to in the Bible.

The word leviathan has become synonymous with any large sea monster or creature. In modern literature (such as the novel Moby-Dick) it refers to great whales, and in Modern Hebrew, it means simply “whale.”

The “i” in iLeviathan is for Internet…

Why did you pick that name?

Leviathan happens to be a favourite text of ours written by the incredible Thomas Hobbes. So, Leviathan was chosen, but as it is, in essence, an archaic word we decided to modernise it with a trendy “i”.
